A. Dimensional Accuracy
The CLIMABLOCK ECO clay bricks have precise brick dimensions, with widths of 250mm. The large width of the brick (250mm), combined with the vertical arrangement of the perforations, results in monolithic masonry with exceptionally high mechanical strength, mass, and seismic resistance. This ensures high thermal resistance, excellent thermal insulation, very high thermal capacity, significant noise reduction (soundproofing), and high fire resistance.
The high production quality allows for great dimensional accuracy, with a variation of less than ±5mm, which exceeds the T1 category as specified in the current EN 1745:2020 standard and the upcoming EN 1745:2020 standard under approval.
The dimensional stability and minimal tolerances, combined with the consistent quality of the raw material, ensure stable thermal properties, mechanical strength, and seismic resistance of the masonry.
B. Raw Material Consistency
The CLIMABLOCK ECO clay bricks are characterized by stability in the selection of raw materials. This means that the quality and pure density of the raw material (soil) remain consistent, with a variation of less than 5%. A direct consequence of this is the accuracy of the declared thermal and mechanical properties of the clay brick, as well as the seismic resistance of the masonry.
C. Processing Precision
The CLIMABLOCK ECO clay bricks are characterized by stability in raw material processing and precision in the production of the final product. This ensures that the gross dry density of the brick remains stable while also being relatively low, which has a direct positive impact on the equivalent thermal resistance of both the brick and the masonry.
The average gross dry density is 827 kg/m³. Due to the low variation in pure dry density and the minimal dimensional variation of the brick web, the gross dry density also exhibits very low variation.
As a result, the declared thermal and mechanical properties of the brick, as well as the seismic resistance characteristics of the masonry, are highly accurate and consistent.
The CLIMABLOCK ECO clay bricks meet all the requirements set by Eurocode 6 and the relevant EU regulations concerning brick units in terms of their geometric and mechanical properties (percentage of voids, minimum thicknesses and heights of reinforcements in the cross-section, relative distances of reinforcements, and compressive strength).
A fundamental process in the production of clay bricks is firing. Since firing takes place at temperatures of 850°–950°C, any organic materials present are completely burned off, while the natural and chemical properties of the bricks remain unaltered in the event of a fire, as the temperatures that develop during a fire are significantly lower.
Additionally, due to their high mass and thermal inertia, heat transmission through the masonry from one fire compartment to another is significantly delayed, enhancing fire resistance.

The monolithic masonry constructed with CLIMABLOCK ECO vertically perforated clay bricks functions simultaneously as thermal insulation and a heat reservoir.
Due to the geometry of its web, the CLIMABLOCK ECO brick exhibits very high thermal resistance to heat transfer. Additionally, thanks to the high precision and stability of its linear production process, its dimensional variation is minimal, allowing the use of a thin adhesive layer of just 3mm. The thermal conductivity of this adhesive differs only slightly from that of the brick mass, and it essentially covers only the web, significantly reducing heat loss due to thermal bridges. When the adhesive is carefully applied, thermal bridges are almost entirely eliminated.
Finally, due to their high mass, CLIMABLOCK ECO bricks act as heat reservoirs, helping to create a comfortable indoor microclimate within the building.
